So much for a world class city.

Call Singapore a world class city? Think again.
Given that it's so difficult to find a public toilet (decent one I mean) in the wee hours of the morning, how can Singapore be one?
This morning, lucky me, my stomach started to ache terribly after I boarded the bus to school. It was so bad that I decided I needed to go to the toilet immediately, so I alighted at the bus stop closest to West Mall Shopping Centre. I ran towards West Mall, but found that it was locked. Desperate, I charged towards Bukit Batok CC, and realised it was locked too. And that means we have no access to the toilets.
Given such a situation, I had no options but to take a taxi to school, just for the sake of the toilet. If I had perserved and stayed in the bus, I would have reached school earlier. I'm not angry at the fact that I wasted $10.50 on the taxi, but rather at the appalling fact that there are no decent toilets around.
To those who ask, what about those kopitiam toilets? Well, I won't deny that they are available, but I'm against using them for such matters. Firstly because it's not appropriate to do such things at a place where people are eating, secondly because I'm very particular about toilet hygiene. And you know how dirty those toilets are.
So much for Singapore trying to brand itself as a world class city. It cannot even fulfil the criteria of having accessible and clean toilets.
6 years ago when I went to Europe, I was so impressed by their toilets. Although expensive (they cost 0.50 euros per entry), they were many of them, and most importantly, sparkling clean.
Singapore, it's time you caught up, seriously.
