Back from Tekong

So, after confinement week, i'm back from tekong. i'm not allowed to reveal too much here unless i want to get charged, so...pardon the vagueness.
i'm still currently adjusting to whatever circumstance i'm stuck in...it's a difficult time, but still i'm left without a choice. from this short experience...what i learn is this: you really need to have a passion in life so that you can actually do the things that you enjoy doing, and that how you feel about something depends on your perspective.
ns is something that slams reality hard in your face, i suppose. i hope i'm wrong. but for now, goodbye to the good old studying days, and say hi to the reality that will be stuck with you for the rest of your life.
will only book out 2 weeks later...so have to leave this blog to dust again. sigh...

enlistment
Wednesday, January 07, 2009
well, i'm enlisting tomorrow. having mixed feelings...nervous, excited, reluctant. i suppose if i view it with optimism, i would have a better time there.
during the course of this 2 years, there're many things that I want to do. To make my life a more fulfilling one, of course. These include picking up Japanese, reading up on the financial market, and picking up driving lessons. The list is not exhaustive...
After whatever that has happened the previous year, i realise that we should be active in pursuing the things that we want to do. and spend more time with our loved ones as well. Life is short and precious...
And maybe, i should strive to be a better person, and a better friend. I remember this was my new year's resolution a couple of years ago. I didn't succeed, but still, I think I have to try.
So, I will be away till CNY. I will try to blog every weekend when I book out after that.
Till then.
Happy 2009!

it's 2009...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
For the first time in my 18 years of life, I went to Marina for the fireworks! (ok I know that sounds abit noob.) It was a fantastic day with all my friends. First it was kbox with sean and jiamin, then it was dinner, pub, fireworks and the entire night with ziyang, han xiao, andrea and kwan!!
The fireworks were spectacular! We chose a good spot, and had a great view of everything. We didn't hear the countdown, but the fireworks were good enough. Will post the photos once I have them. =)
Looking back at 2008, it was quite an eventful year. Good and bad things happened. Although I realised I still do not understand many things towards the end, at least I have a rough idea of what I'm going to do in the new year. And that will be my new year resolution, which I am going to keep it to myself, period.
In a matter of a days I will be enlisting, which means I have little time for blogging. But I will try to update. Well, like most people, I'm having mixed feeling about NS...but I suppose I just have to enjoy my term there. Hopefully, 2009 will be a better year ahead!
PS: Those who are aware of what happened during the week of Christmas, I've decided not to mention anything of it here, but to place it close to my heart...Regardless, thanks for your concern. Really appreciate it. =)
